ALL PERFORMANCES TAKE PLACE AT
Annenberg Center For The Performing Arts
3680 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104
Performances Are An Hour Long
And Include A Complimentary
Study Guide And A Special "Talkback Session" With The Artist

Did you know by attending a dance performance, you can discover new ways to meet curriculum standards? Dance embraces music, visual arts, theater, science, and technology. Dance emulates life in its problemsolving, critical thinking and collaborative approaches as well as its quest for beauty, passion, compassion and
adventure.

This year we celebrate The Magic of Movement through the exciting diversity of dance genres featuring Tap, Broadway, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Dance Theater, multimedia and a fusion of styles that defy classification. Tap prodigy Jason Samuels Smith, ballet gold medalist Rasta Thomas, MacArthur Fellow Elizabeth Streb and B-Boy maven Doug Elkins bring their unique movement vocabularies, theories and aesthetics. MOMIX’s Botanica and BodyVox’s Water Bodies imaginatively reflect global and environmental concerns and River North’s Streetbeat addresses dance’s historic and cultural impact.

Students are encouraged to learn more about The Magic of Movement through further research on the internet, reading books and magazines, studying dance and by watching videos. Additional suggestions for curriculum links and for addressing standards are available through our complimentary Study Guides designed specifically to target each program and to extend the learning experience.
