For almost 30 years, through a collaborative partnership with the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, Dance Affiliates has been a major force in supporting dance through its annual Dance Celebration program which engages a broad range of world-class and emerging dance companies and has been recognized as a major cultural asset to the city and region when honored with "Best of Philly" awards and by proclamation by the City of Philadelphia. Dance Affiliates remains to this day one of the nation's few remaining dance-only presenters.

Dance Celebration is an ongoing, interactive and evolving program that educates, entertains, and enlightens the public about dance and, in turn, helps sustain, nourish and preserve the art of dance. With a commitment to artistic excellence, this curated program offers commissions and world premieres of original works with local and nationally-known choreographers; the enrichment of the school curriculum through high-quality arts education and outreach programs; collaborations with performing arts partners in the field; and service to the local dance community through workshops, master classes, seminars and symposia, all free and open to the public. Throughout its illustrious history, Dance Celebration has had ancillary series including the edgy NextMove Festival (1987-2003), the groundbreaking Monday Night Series (1986-1998), and numerous Special Events (1987-present).
